:+:+:+Sin City?:+:+:

My first blog post...(forgive me for any typos/grammar issues)

Grace to you and peace from God Our Father.

Background music: AMP – In Your Hands
~ What do I have to fear. For I am an heir to your glorious fame. ~ http://ampmovement.bandcamp.com/

While driving up to Vegas, my sister and I noticed the direction the cars were going from a distance – UP! In the night, the headlights from the cars were going uphill and I noticed it looked like a “Road to Heaven!” Immediately, my sister pointed out how ironic that was because in actuality we were entering “Sin City.”

I thought: I should’ve prepared myself more for this adventure through prayer.
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Phil 4:5-6)

Maybe God has put me here for a reason?
To be the light? What am I thinking!? Of course, He put me here for a reason!
Immediately I thought, how can I share the gospel? especially after I glanced at my colorful wordless Spurgeon bracelet (love calling it that after learning who made it from Scott!)…
Am I gonna randomly stop someone in the middle of the street? There’s definitely plenty of people while walking down The Strip (it’s like BruinWalk where everyone is bombarding you with flyers that you don’t really want or need), but in this case, they are really shady pamphlets that is on the opposite spectrum of “Rated PG.”

Along with these images and more…
After a few days in Vegas…I couldn't help but to think… I need prayer, prayer, and more PRAYER!
My mind kept thinking, “I don’t want to see these images x100” and my heart kept feeling, “Oh how gross, how sinful, how utterly sad x100!”

But my dear friend, directed me to think of something more important than my own thoughts. The heart of God and the love He has for his people…

“When I went there for work a few months ago, I felt bad for the people there…stuck in sin and being lost in dressing to impress others. Most of all not having Jesus. The ironic thing is that while it seems like there’s no hope for the people gambling and drinking, the answers are literally right next to them at their bedside in the nightstand drawer… THE BIBLE!” (A.Francisco)

I pray. If it is in your will Lord. Please allow even one person to see & read your Word. Please pray with me!! And thanks for reading! May your day be joyous! (Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Phil 4:4)

And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.” (Colossians 1:21-23)
